Who else gets bored to take full showers. Its just a nuisance, afterwards its wet and cold plus its too much work. I just wash up before work, bath once a week or so. Its like who cares.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. We all need to pamper ourselves. We deserve it!
But now that I work at home, I don't shower as often, but still won't go out, other than to walk the dog or get the mail, unless I've showered. It gives me something to use as a barometer of how connected with the outside world I am (or am not). I know how important it always was to me, and if I start to slack off on that-- a pretty basic part of my life-- then I get worried.
This is just my observation, but I don't think it's always possible for a person to determine their own stinkiness. I ride on public transportation a lot and believe me, some people really smell BAD, and it's gross. I don't believe those people KNOW they smell as bad as they do, and still knowingly go out among people. They just can't smell it.
As far as the depression connection goes, having B.O. is a great way to keep away, and that seems like the opposite of what a depressed person needs... more isolation.
