Hello-
I am a new user and was hoping to get some input. I have had MS for 13 years, relapsing remitting and am blind in one eye. I was recently feeling anxious and blue and the doctor suggested Sertraline. I have been taking it for a week and am having blurred vision, naseau, no apetite, and anxiousness. (What the medicine is supposed to be helping) Has anyone had these problems with this medicine? any Better Suggestions. I was hoping the medicine would help, but it seems to be making the problem worse????
Thanks,
T

Zoloft

Not familiar with Zoloft. However, antidepressants often cause side effects. They should be temporary (like maybe 2 weeks or so) but it actually takes up to six weeks for the med to really kick in. If you are feeling that bad, I would call your Doc just to be sure. You will find one that works for you. It is just frustrating! :)

It is best to call the pharmacist with questions on meds. They are happy to help and can tell you if this is a harmful side effect and if you should stop taking the med all together.

Hi tmanz. I was on Sertraline (50mg) for a around 6 weeks and i found that i was nauseous and had severe headaches. My appetite also went. I told my doctor about it and suggested that i changed to Citalopram on a smaller dose (20mg)and have been on that for nearly 6 weeks. Doing really well, but it might be that you need your dose lowering or perhaps changing to an alternative medication. Talk it over with your doctor, he will give you what it best for you.

I would suggest you contact your Dr. and tell them what is going on. They are most qualified to answer your questions I would surmise.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
