My son is 19 - his father suffers with clinical depression and both his grandmother and aunt committed suicide because of it. He has totally messed up 2 years at college because of he is demotivated. He is aggressive at times, has sleep disturbances and just doesn't seem to be able to concentrate. He began at a new college inSeptember but things are slipping again. He either sleeps not enough or too little, has a very erratic appetite and is very iritable all the time. He seems generally unhappy and sometimes says that he 'doesn't know who he is any more' Given the paternal depression link - can you give me some advice - could he be suffering with depression and how do I get him to get help because he just fliues off the handle if I mention it? A very anxious mum would really appreciate advice. Thank you

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I would really monitor the situation and also talk to his and your doc about it
Sadly, he's 'lost' most of his friends. He nly really has a couple of friends now and there is no way that he would listen to them. I'll have a look at depression fighting foods. At the moment I will try anything. Thanks.
