I believe a moderator has been suggested to Doug in the past, and I also believe he said that as adults, we should be able to speak openly as adults without supervision. Unfortunately, not all adults act like adults. It doesn't matter how many moderators you bring in. You can't change what people say, but you can ignore them. You think removing members is going to solve the problem? You don't think they'll come back? The past speaks for itself. If you truly, and I mean truly want the negativity to go away, then stop feeding it. If you add water to a gas fire, you're only inhibiting the flames. if you pounce on a nasty comment, you're adding more fuel and giving that person what they want. The ONLY solution to these rants that occasionally happen is to move immeditaly off that topic and concentrate on others that don't offend you. I am by no means saying this is easy...we all want to come to the defense of another member who's been crapped on, BUT, wouldn't it make the problem go away if NO ONE responded to that nastiness? It would. It would die out real quick. Think about it.
