I have just been prescribed Mirtazapine after Fluoxetine and Citalopram did not work.
Has anyone else had experience of this? Any good? I have not got the prescription yet.

I have been on this for 2 weeks. It is VERY sedating. It knocks me out cold for at least 12-14 hours. I sleep through alarm clocks and phone calls. I went back to my GP to ask for a change. It is FAR too sedative. I also have next to no energy during the day. Just my experience.

i had mirtazipine a few years ago, it helped a little, better than citalopram. i didn't experience too much sedation with it though. good luck...hope it works for you.

I've been on Mirtazapine for about 5 weeks. I am sleeping better each night and for reasonable hours again (i slept for 20 hours then had to go back to bed 3 hours later coz i fell asleep whilst walking!). It does take a while for your body to adjust, but I prefer them to citalopram (was on for 2 months). I have less side effects and feel MUCH better, less mood swings, not as many bad days etc.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
