Ok, so thought I'd put this out there and get some info...
Anyone taking generic Zoloft for depression? It's been suggested by my Psych. and prescribed by my doc. My Doc also is running me through a series of blood work - Lipid RFX, CMP, Hemogram, & TSH. He'd like to know if I have something chemically going on within and to try and see if that is the case first. If not, then I am to go on the G/Z to hopefully fix what ails me.
My difficulty is that I have since changed my ideals about today's medicines - probably since being in the military and being forced to get shots etc b/c u belong to them and they don't care what is good or bad for u. NE how, with the therapy sessions and getting back to my workouts - I have to start running again or some type of aero workout. I have been able to somewhat get back to a happier state...but I can tell when I am having a bad day or am just feeling dusted up and have no ambition towards anything.
I know that this stuff will probably help me along, however I despise the possible side effects - hair loss, decreased libido(am just getting this back because of my workouts), etc.
Anyone have any offerings or insight? All will be taken with a grain of salt...

Left, have no personal experience with meds as yet, but seems, from all i've heard, they effect each differently. Friend of mine changed several times and says her most recent (Cymbalta) is the one for her. Hopefully i'll hav some personal experience to draw on in the near future.

I'll tell you that I was on Zoloft and Wellbutrin at the same time. I didn't have any hair loss, or loss of libido as when I took Prozac, Paxil and a few others. I wouldn't have a problem getting back on Zoloft again. I think you should at least give it a try, but that's just my 2 cents.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
