I know what you mean; I got my hair cut this week, and no one has even noticed! But there IS a point, hon; you don't do it for anybody but you. Yes, it IS nice when someone notices that you have made an effort, but as long as you look in the mirror and like what you see, that is the point. Besides, I think you are wonderful!

My X treated me that way for 20 years and I didn't even notice til the last 3 as I was too busy with the kids. Then I found out all he wanted from me was a maid or "his Mommy." Do it for yourself cause it's U who matters the most!

I even baked his socks so he would have clean ones again since our dryer is borke and they werent clean before getting ready for wokr. I have asked him to do counsiling but hes to manly for that.

AND...my X I left cause he was always sleeping on the chair and denied he was drinking AND he also went to alcohol counceling ONCE and when the counselor said he drinks too much, he accused ME of having enough clout to make the counselor tell him that. Yes, too manly (too much in denial is what it was) to go to counseling. Marriage counseling once too and he said he drinks a "couple" and said the meeting went wel. Well? He lied!
