My sister was on Lamictal and it worked very very well for her... until the rash. She finally got the rash on her face, spread to both sides of her jawline and on her eyelid. So, the doctor took her off of it and it went away... Problem is her anxiety/obessiveness/deprssion have returned. She is already on Lithium and Zoloft but my question is: Has anyone found a good substitute for Lamictal that helps about as much? My sis has been doing so well and I hate to see her go through this again. Any advice? (I was on it too and also got the rash, wonder if there is a genetic component in that reaction perhaps.)
