I wish there was a pill one could take to be motivated. I could deal with depression much better if I could just get the motivation to do stuff.
I haven't been able to lose weight because I can't get the motivation to exercise.
I am moving later this month and I can't get the motivation to pack.
I dislike my current job and am unmotivated to do it as well as I could or make the best of it.
I have applied for other jobs and interviewed and I think I might be motivated to do those, but based on my current track record I wonder if it would be more of the same.
Heck, I am not even motivated to leave the bed unless I have to for work and even then I've been known to skip staff meetings marking them as unimportant in my mind.
then on the more mundane side...
I have no motivation to clean, cook or other daliy things. I don't even want to shower most days but I do if I decide I have to for some reason.
I see a psychiatrist next month, I hope she finds my magic pill. 40mg of paxil isn't working anymore.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The thing is depression robs you of your motivation in varying levels.
The longer and deeper the depression the harder it is to find motivation for change. It is a self repeating cycle that can spiral down. Finding a good pdoc can do wonders, having supportive family and friends can be a life saver, hope you have both.
Have you tried B vitamins?
I have also tried those 5 hour energy shots when I was driving once. They really did work. It is mainly B-vitamins too. I don't think it would be good to take one of those daily though. Although I have thought of it.
