I am wondering if anybody knows about their abandonment issues in depth? Yesterday i asked my mother to give me exact deatils of when she was in hospital being treated for depression. She was in hospital for a month when i was 2 years old and again for another month when i was 5 years. She would have been unavailable to me before going into hospital and afterwards until things got back to 'normality'. I understand that i would have had basic unmet needs due to this seperation and why i have such extreme anxiety in my romantic relationships.
For the last month i have explained to my partner about my needs and he has shown me he is able and willing to meet them like making sure we have daily meaningful contact but i fear the next time i have to experience this debilitating anxiety if i feel he is not meeting my needs and i need to write about my abandonment pain in order to move on from it. I need to accept it and learn that i have no reason to be ashamed of myself or my feelings and that i have inherent worth for who i am as a child of God.
Blessings to you all
