Just a weird question

I had a really outragous conversation with a couple of friends the other night about polgamy. We were talking about the pros of it and came up with all the reasons why polgamy might actually be a good idea. The obvious pros were dividing chores, slumber parties, passing of your husband to someone else when you need a break, living with your best friends etc...
No -I'm not pro-polgamy and personally I'd be too jealous to live that type of lifestyle but I do think it should be decriminalized for those over 18. What do you think? Make it legal? Decriminalize? Interested in your thoughts -just for fun.

No, marriage shouldn't be illegal...but it shouldn't be a legal term at all :-). If two people want to form a union, great....get a huge church wedding and have a great time.

Perhaps some sort of partnership would be OK legally....I don't know. Just the whole idea of marriage being a legal concept grinds my gears.

Many of these type relationships are pre arranged type things. It is not the woman who consents but the womans family. THe woman agrees to it to avoid being disowned or to avoid shaming her family.
I suppose it depends on the circumstances but I am more of the idea of just two people to a relationship.

well -the key to being ok with any relationship would be for it to be consentual among the ones getting into the union you know? Did anyone see that Oprah with the polgamist families on there? Yes I TIVO Oprah! and Dexter...and Big Love...and Ellen and many other cheesy shows. :)~

i think the whole concept of one man for every woman is a GOOD one; i can barely deal with my own hubby, let alone a few others!lmao! no, seriously, i have been with him for over 20 years, and couldn't even think to share him with ANYONE!

but it wouldn't be weird or dramatic to them cause that's there lifestyle. there's nothing wrong with the lifestyle -it's not inherently unhealthy or wrong.

I can't put up with one husband, moretoless two or more. My luck? all of them would drop their nasty drawers on the floor and expect me to wait on them hand and foot. No thank you........I'll pass.

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
