Just a weird question

I had a really outragous conversation with a couple of friends the other night about polgamy. We were talking about the pros of it and came up with all the reasons why polgamy might actually be a good idea. The obvious pros were dividing chores, slumber parties, passing of your husband to someone else when you need a break, living with your best friends etc...
No -I'm not pro-polgamy and personally I'd be too jealous to live that type of lifestyle but I do think it should be decriminalized for those over 18. What do you think? Make it legal? Decriminalize? Interested in your thoughts -just for fun.

Free conty or its supposed to be as long as your 18. You can live with as many as you want if your not married. Whats the difference. Personally I can't keep one. What are the odds of me keeping more?

I don't think the government should have any say in marriage whatsoever. If a man wants to have five wives and they all consent to it, fine. If a woman wants to have five husbands and they all consent to it, whatever. What's it to me? It's none of my business what other grown adults are doing in their own homes, as long as they're not harming others.

bre1217 - Fighting and disagreements occur in all relationships, no matter how many people are involved. Whose business is it if another couple (or in a case such as polygamy, group) is having a fight? If you wanted to make relationships illegal based on the prospect of people fighting with each other, NO ONE would be able to marry.

It was a fad in Bibical times, but to day nope I am not for it. There is reason why we are called to have one wife. Maybe it could be the judge got tired of the cat fights among the women, lol.

The whole idea of marriage is dumb, I think...it should not be a legal thing at all.

But criminalization for something that happens between two (or three....or four...or five....or whatever) consenting adults? This is 2007...why?

I figure if someone can make it work -good for you. I can hardly manage a relationship with one man but that's my personality. Decriminalizing it however isn't the same as considering it an actual marriage in the eyes of the government

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
