hi everyone! it's so nice to find a community of caring people. i'm new but this seems like a good place to be. right now i'm having a bit of a relapse b/c my medicines are in flux. i went off prozac b/c of the sexual side effects and have been a guinea pig ever since. now i'm on lamictal which is not helping matters. i really want to go off it but i don't think i should without consulting my MD... who is apparently having her own problems! she's been in the hospital now for over a week so i'm waiting to make changes when she is back... otherwise i might have to seek out a new doctor. anyone else out there who is trying to get away from SSRIs? having any luck with other drugs? good luck everyone!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Welcome to depression. (hugs)
Sorry I can't be of more help. I do go off the meds come springtime and I have found that if I do a lot of hatha yoga it gets the body hormones working and dopamine too in the brain. I try to get at least 20 minutes a day of sunlight in my eyes so as to help with SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
Hope you can get the doctor thing fixed soon.
