...by my 12 yr old daughter earlier tonight.
Round three ex hubby finally showed up and caught her in the action. By that time she was punching me in the back. I did not really get hurt that bad, I was able to keep ahold of her and keep her from doing to much harm, but still got me good a few times when I was trying to pin her down and she was kicking for all she was worth. She threw a cup across the room and hit me in the temple leaving a bruise and welt. I have a bruise on my back where she stomped on me with her heel after I let her up and she promised she was done(apparently not), and I have a huge welt on my leg from her swinging on me.
I did not call the cops because she is at that age where they don't really do anything. My ex thinks I should send her to live with my parents because she is too out of control. We are both worried about the safety of our younger two daughters as well. My 4 yr old was terrified and would not go to sleep until after she knew the oldest was asleep.
I feel so stupid and like I must have really done something wrong to mess her up like this. I don't want to give up on her. I just don't know what to do. I don't know why she snapped. I am just at wits end...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You have done nothing to wrong with your daughter and must not think this is your fault. It is not!
I dont know if you should send her to your parents house. She may see it as punishment and may feel as if you are getting rid of her.
Dont keep living like this hun, seek professional help if you can and take it from there.
I just try to avoid in all costs these situations, well by giving up to her demands/by being calm and speaking with her/by putting her attention away.
When my children were young we went through this with 2 of my girls, they grew out of it after a few spankings (spanking is far different than beating her) I took flack for it but they learned not to hit momma.
It does not work for every child though. I would not send her to your parents do you really want her to hit them. Get her in therapy and try to focus one day a week on just her, she may just need you to see her.
She has ADHD, but due to her heart condition she can not be treated with any stimulants. We are trying to manage this with anti depressants and sleep meds(currently on zoloft and trazadone)
She also has ODD which can only be managed at this point and she has little desire to use and self control. She also has PTSD from the death of her brother(that she still has yet to talk about). She has a lot going on, but I can't keep going through this with her because she refuses to open up. She has her walls up and I don't know if anyone can get through to her.
we have tried every thing we can to help her (Docs, councelling, talking to her, etc) but shes just not interested in helping herself, shes also threatened my 3 boys to get her own way and has repeatedly tried to break up my marrige + keeps telling me i should kill myself 1 second and then the next its her mother thats the problem not me. This all happens when i am not in the house so i have anxiety as soon as i leave for work, Shes also the reason that i have depression. shes 16 on the 20th of april next year, thats the day i can legally kick her out of the house... and we are all counting down the seconds..
