I just posted, but just in case you're wondering who I am and where I'm coming from...I just graduated college in June with a degree in civil engineering, and got a job with the company that I interned for. Now at 23, I work a lot...and very hard...just because this is/was the only job I ever wanted out of school. I do this because I want to stay there...
I'm very loyal and dedicated and hardworking...I'm that guy that's always in before you, and always leaves after you. But sometimes that takes it's toll.
I'm scared at times, because a few of my projects have gone over budget, and it's just stupid stuff that I can usually help, but forget.
I'm also taking a class in Microsoft Access which is very taxing at times. It's helped our office accomplish a project, and will help it accomplish more, but it's still a lot.
Sometimes I really feel like just giving up. I love everything right now, but just feel frustrated that I can't do it all. So that's why I thought about quitting...leaving...I just don't know what to do or what to do with my time...
thanks again...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I mean I know as an intern you want to be noticed, do your best, impress. But if you do it to your detriment, like being over budget on a project--it becomes self-defeating. Right?
Access is a great program. It streamlines processes, especially tracking and forms. You are smart to take it.
Balance.
Also, seek counsel on your major life decisions like this one. It is not an urgent task, it can wait if you still choose to leave your employment with this firm.
As I mentioned see a career counselor (internship are hard to get), school advisor, psycologist, etc. You may need a little "as needed" med to take the edge off when you are overwhelmed (xanax).
I still say check the percentages of your daily life--how much as work, school, homework, computer, eating, spending time with friends, etc. Keep it in balance at all costs.
