However.
I lie awake at night wondering what I would do if I had insomnia. I also wonder if the nightmares are worse than the insomnia.
I will not tell you what the worst nightmares are about. What I am going to tell you is bad enough.
A local villain took an iron to his girlfriend - he ironed brown paper on her back. Can you imagine how painful that must have been?
Another cut through a woman's collar bone with a hacksaw. The fact both the victims were women does not make me feel any safer!
I don't seek out these stories but I don't ignore the news either.
I met a woman whose son was kidnapped and taken to Guantanamo. He has been there for five year and tortured or "subjected to rigorous interrogation" so badly he was blinded.
And finally a man was kidnapped by the CIA and put on a plane to Syria where he was thrown into a cell like a grave and tortured for a year. (This is in the book "Static" by Amy Goodman and David Goodman)
And worse than all of this and more frightening in a way is that anyone should find out how frightened I am. I am not a kid, I am 55 years old.
H'm. So that is me. As I say I don't know how useful this is to any of you.

So all of these are nightmares you have? Have you had these thoughts your whole life or just recently? If just recently, do you think there was something that triggered them?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
