Ok not even sure how to start -- I was told by the undergraduate director (my direct manager) that I am teaching sociology of family, but on the banner they wrote that I teach social problems class. This semester there were three teachers for social problems, one of them is very close and loved by the head of the department and it turns out she is not teaching next semester while clearly head of the dep prefers her on me.
Than I was told that the family and marriage class was canceled, even though when I came with the book order for social problems, my order was not accepted.
Then I was approached by one of the graduate students- that works very close with graduate director, and she stated to me "don't you understand, you were here exactly 4 years, your financing is over, department won't pay you anymore, you defended, you should be ready to get out. There is no formal reasons to kick you out, but believe me they will find informal reason to make your life unbearable at the department. You will leave voluntarily and say thank you that you left".
I told her thank you for her advice and left, so... what do u think? am I really pushed out?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
