meet people in your area for friendship? One of my problems is that I have no friends left and I don't speak to my family. I have no one to call during the day and I feel all alone. My DH and I are even at each others throats and no longer have a good relationship. Mostly that's because I have no one else to talk to and I have no idea how to make new friends.

At the time being with my mate..I did not communicate with family, though I had less than a handful of friends to speak with at the time. Therfore, I truly know it can be much like a torment feeling terribly isolated, furthermore the frustrations adds distressed to husband-wife relationships...with having to bear and hopefully DH is doing his best to tolerate you both being at each other throats..you may want to try these ideas as we begin a new month, here's to meeting new friends.
1) If you have child/ren you can ckeck for a local mom's group and that's a wonderful place for meeting friends.
2) What are your interest? There are usually groups that meet in the library for book discussions, crocheting, entreprenuer groups and other sorts..look out for flyers
3} Community centers....they usually have activities scheduled for adults, children and families. [aerobics, karate, ...etc]
4) Church Ladies night meetings
5} Block Association/City Council Board Meetings
These are what I can think of at this time.
I trust you'll have noew friend sooner than soon.
