I know I keep bringing up this topic but I need some input. I haven't been able to see a psychiatrist after calling a dozen different drs. I wanted to take some meds because I've felt strong anxiety and depression. I decided to ask my general practicioner to prescribe meds and after some discussion he prescribed Ativan (Lorazepam) and Clonazepam. So far the Ativan has helped a lot and I've been taking it daily for about a month. I went two day without it and felt terrible. My psychologist told me to get off the Ativan as it is highly addictive. My friend told me that after a while it will no longer work. On Monday I'm going to see my Dr. and ask him to prescribe a different medication. My friend suggested Zoloft but I'm not sure what to ask my Dr. for. I feel I could use medication right now to help me and want to replace the Ativan with an antidepressant. What meds do you all recommend I ask my doctor to prescribe? If you have a recommendation, what should I consider? Side effects? Your way of dealing?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
