I'm great at Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday, that being said, I suck at Christmas. The Santas are in the stores. It's not too early (is it?) to ask for helpful holiday hints. What do you do to get thru the XMas season?

You can't suck at Christmas silly girl! rofl We put way to many expections on ourselves because of the commercialism. Christmas is supposed to be a time of peace, not stress and anxiety. Keep it simple but make it special for you. Even if all you do is light a few candles, bake a batch of cookies or have a nice glass of wine. Don't let the holidays bring you down because of what others think or do. Would it help if i send you some cookies and candy? xoxo

I forget all the bullshit about santa and Jesus and everything else and i think about what I want Christmas to be. To me its about family and giving and ... fairy lights. Oh and the food. Dont feel under pressure to perform for what others want.

I hate christmas and yes it is defo too early for it to be in the shops!!! i guess i get over it by figuring its just another day and try to ignore family and just get on with things by keeping busy

Just do the same as you do on Thanksgiving. I cook up a storm with what I have. I make home made stuff like cookies, candies, and decorations. For Christmas my sister knits socks for everyone. My brother gives out free coupons to friends, relatives and neighbors to help with winter chores, stuffed in Christmas cards. I'm thinking of talking to some of my more energetic fun loving neighbors to see if they would like to set a day aside to go caroling (Yes... some people still do that sort of stuff.) and invite them over later for hot chocolate after the singing. My sister is talking about setting up our own sort of Christmas Cheer drive. We keep tabs about who in our neighborhood will be alone this Christmas, and put together a small gift for them. It could be a tin of cookies, or a pair of home knit socks, or a small basket of toiletry products. (She sells stuff for a company, and we buy stuff that is nice through them at a discount.) I hope to be well enough to go to the service on Christmas Day. We likely will pop some pop corn and watch a movie some time during the day or evening. One friend I have in the Southern States is throwing a BBQ and inviting friends over. Do these suggestions help? It can be as inexpensive or as expensive as you want to make it, and still be fun.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
