Does anyone have any tips for a natural way of getting rid of muscle spasms? We don't have any insurance right now, and I am in terrible pain! I have a muscle spasm from the top of my neck to the bottom of my left shoulder blade! I am in so much pain! I am going to drop the boys and the In-Laws for a while this morning. If the source of your pain is swollen, then the heat isn't going to help. You need to ice it in ten minute intervals. Ten minutes off, ten minutes on.

I lay on the floor flat (might hurt a bit) on the heating pad and just let it sink into my muscles. Once my muscles are warm...I start stretching out my neck and back. If you have the time try doing this every 20 minutes or so. I'm not a doc by any means...but those spasms send me through the roof sometimes...seems to be a good way for me to get rid of them. Hope you feel better sweetie...
