Look around and you will realize that everyone is just going through the motions. No one is free. You work so you have a place to live, a car to get to work, and pointless means of entertainment. TV music friends family. Its all pointless. Tv and music entertains you for the moment. Friends are your friends b/c they like to be entertained for the moment by the same things you do. Family is only in your life b/c of birth relations. Are we all really suppose to wake up day after day living a pointless existance until we die. what differance does anyone make. doctors heal people who go on to be assholes, lawyers get criminals off, police enforce a law that not everyone agrees with, who the hell cares. Just wake up go to work, church, school, whatever. It doesn't matter. Soon we will all be dead but yooray our kids get to carry the tradition of pointlessness. Am I making sense or just rambling, cause it feels like I am rambling. but hey this is all just part of going through the motions right

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Especially in this country.
You have at least some choices of where you work, where you live, what car you buy, how you get to work, and what kind of entertainment you fill your time with.
You can't pick your family but you do pick your friends. And if your family is caring at all, they will help you out when you really need it.
Good Dr.s also heal people and save their lives and help them have a few more days to see their children and grandchildren.
Good lawyers also stand up for the innocent, the abused, and those that need help to get on SSI, for instance.
Good cops also help old ladies across the street because nobody else seems to do that anymore. They also stop people from abusing each other, pull people out of burning cars, and break up fights, putting their lives on the line every single day.
It is all a matter of how you look at it, and a matter of how much you put into life, is how much you will get out of it.
Is there ANYTHING in your life that makes you happy, satisfied, glad to be alive and make you feel like there is a purpose for being here?
Sometimes, I go to downtown Portland, buy a sandwich at Safeway, or a cup of coffee and some cookies at McD's and find someone who looks like they need one.
It makes their day, and mine, too.
but i feel you on the routine shit... sometimes i just wanna quit it all, live life by just living, but its not realistic... it'd still be sweet just to hippie it up and drive everywhere, live outta your car, meet people and crash where you can... but thats just not how it goes
