the curse of modern life?
What is causing the rise in depression? Are people who's parents/grandparents suffered more likely to suffer themselves? Is it caused by modern lifestyles where everything is 100 miles per hour all the time? Is the pressure to constantly do/achieve more at work a factor? Or is it just that doctors are better/more effectively/more hastily diagnosing the problem?
My mother suffered depression, and spent months in hospital with it when i was young. My father suffers with it and has for 7 years since my mother died. My grandfather suffered with it (although undiagnosed) all his adult life after being held as a POW in WW2 for 3 years. Now I suffer from it. Is there a direct link? Is it in part because I worked 60-70 hour weeks with 4 hours travel each day in my old job? Or am I just lucky to have a better mental health aware NHS in the UK these days?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
There is a lot of info to suggest that in some cases it is genetic though
