i saw a documentary about a woman who suffered from chronic depression.the doctors wanted to do an experiment so they asked the lady to write down how she felt when she was really depressed.then they put her in a machine that scanned the brain and asked her to read what she wrote from a t.v. screen.they found that while reading the distressing notes her frontal lobes began to shut down.the more she read the more they shut down.so i think that meds for depression are only part of the treatment it is also what or how you think that has a big effect too.
