I'm in New jersey. i don't hae health insurance and paying out of pocket isn't an option. Is there any avenues that I could look into to try and get someone to talk to about some issues that I have. My insurance ran out in October so now I can't even go to the doctor to get my prescription refilled. I'm in trouble!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. The local mental health clinics have sliding scales, they can't let you go without meds, have you tried the local community clinic, have you applied for any available assistance, they may know abiout some resources you're not aware of. Hope this helps
For meds, several stores including Walmart Pharmacy have $4.00 med lists and you can google the list online... if your doc will script meds on the list, that's only four bucks for a month's supply. My reg. pharmacy has a card thing... cost me 20/yr but has saved me that several times over. Good luck!
but u can usually find a place that goes by a sliding scale. if u do, make sure any meds they give u are on the wal-mart $4 list. (u can check that out online..walmarts site)
don't worry about it. Before I got insured I got free everything for years...do it sweetheart.
The quality of your mental health clinic depends on the area you live. Some are better than others. But at least you can see a pdoc and get your meds covered, in most cases.
