Farting has been shown as an effective way of warding off some of the negative aspects of feeling depressed. It helps increase seretonin levels, which in turn helps to maintain a healthier mind and promotes excellent communication skills. Conversely, retention of farts has been shown to have a number of nefarious effects, most notably bloating, and a worsening of depression symptoms. Has anyone had experiences that support these opposite effects?
