I have a really poor appetite. I don't eat very much and when I do, I get full really quickly. Lately I've been losing weight (I'm about 120 pounds) and really just need to eat up...
I think that I have a somewhat high metabolism so that I process food quickly, but my hunger reflex is "off". Being hungry simply doesn't make me feel uncomfortable..and half the time I don't even notice my hunger until someone else asks me "what have you had to eat?". I don't think I have an eating disorder either...I think I just have a small stomach. When I eat, I try to do so in large bites and relatively quickly to get as much food in my belly as I can.
Any ideas on good, nutrient-rich foods or ways to induce my appetite? I love to cook so that's not too much of a problem.
I'm considering trying to eat 4-6 smaller meals per day instead of 3 larger ones.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. Chelsa, I just get really full really quickly. I used to eat a normal amount but nowadays just don't get the nutrition I need.
Yes, I eat meat :-). I love meat.
Eating little and often is apparently better for you.
Nuts are a good idea. Also fruit and yoghurt.
