I heard a story on the radio and I wanted to pass it on. There was a surfer in Monterey CA. He is 24 yrs old and works at the aquarium in Monterey. He was out surfing. A great white shark attacked him. He bit his torso and pinned him to his board. The board protected his organs but his back was cut open... The shark let go but came back and bit his leg...he kicked the shark in the nose...the shark let go... A pod (group) of dolphins surrounded the injured surfer and kept the shark away from him and he was able to swim to shore. There have been other stories of dolphins saving lifeguards... They instinctively protect humans from sharks?... I didn't know this. What a nice thought. It just reminds me that we share this world with many animals and we should think of them as living beings just like us. It also made me realize how changed the life of that 24 yr old surfer was after this...and how many people were listing to the radio like me...and how many people they passed the story on to... It is like the movie "Pay if forward" it has a ripple affect. Cherish life

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
when i was little my dad and i saw a man sitting in a rock pool with something, when we got closer we saw it was a new born dolphin, it still had it umbilical cord and it was just so tiny. i got to pet it, it was gorgeous. unfortunately they found the mothers body a bit futher up shore and she had been killed bu a shark while she was giving birth.
now this little dolphin is in the pet porpios pool, coffs harbour australia and is quit old now. its a real pity about the mother, but he turned out to be a survivor years later.
And they call him Flipper (Flipper) yada yada of the sea, ~~~~~ I can't remember the words, but the tune is there.
