Hello everyone...We took our golden lab/retriever mix to the vet today and he has swollen lymph nodes and lymphoma cells in the aspiration they drew. He will be 11 in August. They took a biopsy to let us know what kind of cancer it is. Needless to say, I am pretty upset. We have a 12 year old chihuahua that is fighting heart disease as well. One year ago in May, we had to euthanize our 18 year old chihuahua mix because of a brain tumor. If it is one type of cancer the vet is suspecting, he won't have long to live. Now we have to make the decision how to handle it. Chemotherapy will not save his life, only prolong it so I don't think we will go that route. Its all been to much today to think about and consider. I hate this part of having pets. I hate fucking cancer too..Thank you for listening..Take care of yourselves, Beth

My dad's health is really bad. When he starts running a fever he refuses to follow doctors instructions to immediately get medical attention. This would prevent him from having to go into the hospital. So EVERY TIME he has a cold, he ends up in the hospital. Since he is doing it to himself, if he goes this time I am not going to visit him.
