So I really need some advice. I got a puppy last year, and I'm crazy about him. The last couple months he's been at my parents house because I was going through depression pretty bad and could barely take care of myself, let alone a dog too. Well, now I'm feeling better and I REALLY REALLY miss him. Trouble is, my dad is attached now, and is trying to make up reasons for me not to take him back, I don't know if he'll give him back. But I miss him so much, it seriously breaks my heart to not have him with me anymore. What should I do?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Not to mention, the unconiditional love they give. I have shared custody with my other dog and I miss him to death. He always laid on me no matter where I was sitting or sleeping, he would just plop on me.
So it is up to what you feel you can do, need and want right now.
Explain to him, you understand he has grown attached to your dog, and remind him that you only wanted to have him there temporarily while you got better. If your dad loves you, he will understand and give the dog back to you. Then he can get his own dog to keep.
