I need some stories of hope. I have severe depression and got laid off from my job of 5 years. Then I got another job and quit after 2 months because the depression defeated me...I just couldn't function or perform at work. I'd love to hear of some success stories from those who have been severely depressed (chemical imbalance, not situational depression) and were able to beat the depression and go back to work and succeed despite their depression. I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
