umm so this is my first post. I suffer from borderline personality disorder with depression on the side but there's not many people in the other forum. I was wondering if there's anybody who gets more depressed in winter. Most of the time I am good but I notice that in autumn and winter I get really depressed. My friends told me there's this thing called SAD which is seasonal(?). Does anyone get this or know of any good sites to get more information on it?
Thank you

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
so, u suffer from bpd? my daughter may be suffering from this too, or it may be bipolar; don't know yet, as she is pending a psych eval soon; just wanted to know if u could give me any info. on bpd; also, yes, there is a depression called SAD; it's weird because i get depressed around the same time every year, too. don't know too much about SAD, though, just heard it from a friend when she noticed that i get depressed around the same time every year
I did lots of dialectical behavioral therapy for it which taught me why I react to things the way I do and what I can do to help myself cope with things when they get really bad. He uses a book by some Dr Linehan(sp) and gave me lots of homework activities to do and I find it helps me a lot
Diagnosing yourself is problematic. You may overlook something about yourself and steer yourself in a direction that isn't helpful to you.
Talk to a pro...they study for years to come up with accurate diagnoses.
