There is a brain implant that can help w/ depression. It requires minor surgery. It's for people who have not had good results w/ meds or other treatments including ECT. If you go to google and type "brain implant for depression" some articles should come up. From what I read it's FDA approved and the people who had it improved drastically and even said they were in "remission" from depression even after 5 years. If you are struggling w/ major depression this could be something to ask your pyschaitrist about if nothing else seems to be working.
