Hi Everyone,
My name's Nicholas, and I work at DailyStrength.
Holidays can be rough for some people, and I'd love to see your ideas about the best way to help people with depression feel better.
Why?
We think our members have important, real-world knowledge, and want to put together a brief article to publish online that is in part based on your anonymous ideas.
Thanks for your help!

I think something important but sometimes overlooked is having someone there to listen who is non-judgmental and not negative. Also, sometimes just having someone there or someone who shows they care even if it's just an email.

Tell them to tell their "therapists" and doctors to fuck off. Tell them they don't need to change and it's ok if they feel blue around the hollidays. Tell them they can tell all the JUDGEMENTAL MORONS who push them to "do better" to go to hell. And don't put pressure on the them to do lots of stuff for Christmas unless its what they enjoy.

Maybe have someone on her to help monitor the trolls. I get lonely as well, so I come on to this site to help with that. However, when there is bashing and arguing ... then its not such a warm friendly place to come. So I suppose what I am trying to say is ... Maybe there could be someone on here to help keep it a safe, friendly environment.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
