thank you all for your thoughts and hugs and prayers. my friend, ms pat, has come round slowly. she is now talking, she has eaten two meals but not kept them down. she didnt know at first where she was. i spoke to her nurse last night, and he had told her i had been calling for her. and she was smiling. and they talked about me being in england, and the nurse has relatives in essex, which isnt too far from me. and so pat was able to talk about me. she isnt out of the woods yet, as they say.its going to be a long haul back to good health. it looks like she wont be going home. she will have to go to rehab. her husband is in one place, cos he cant take care of himself. i was in tears last night that this miracle has happened. they still dont know what is wrong with her. her kidneys have failed. and she has had a pace maker put in too. cos her heart is not working properly.i just spoke to her sister on the phone at the hosp, and she said pat is doing well, but its going slowly. her sister wants me to call her at pats house every day. instead of calling the hospital. she says they are so busy.but the nurse and her were talking about me yesterday. and she is pleased that i am calling the hospital.i was so worried there that i might lose her. but her sister says she isnt out of the woods yet.so she still needs your prayers and so do i.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
