I have been attending a Partial Inpatient Program at a local hospital for the past month. Although I'm under the care of a Psychiatrist, I find that I don't get taken seriously because I'm very shy and soft spoken and don't want to complain too much.
There has been no change to the 60mg of Cymbalta I'm taking for the past 3 months and no improvement in my depression and anxiety. I felt so frustrated that today I wrote a letter to my psychiatrist describing my exact symptoms, the way I'm avoiding any social activities, and how I spend most of my day (in bed). Immediately after finishing writing the letter, he called me into his office .
I explained to him that I have difficulty verbalizing my thoughts off the top of my head, and asked if I could read the letter to him. He said that it was a very good idea. He increased my Cymbalta to 90 mg and for the first time I felt that he "heard" me.
I know there are many other "shy" people out there, and I wanted to share this experience with you. There are people out there who want to help us, but we have to make sure they know what we need.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good luck...
