Some thoughts to make your Daily Strength experiance better.
Some of you asked about having an option to "appear offline" like for writing in journals and such. for now I would suggest writing your journal entry in Word and copy pasting it into journal. This way you only have to log in for a minute or two and log back out.
If you want to see what's going on in the boards you can look without logging in. On the main page (www.dailystrenght.org) scroll down and pick a topic (depression) and click it. The next screen will show the last 4 threads. Pick one amd click it. You'll then be able to click on discussions at the top and see all threads and read all posts. You will have to log in to post or hug or write in journal or make comments in journals.
If you feel you are being attacked please ignore the person who you feel is offending you. Read the Terms of Service agreement. If someone has violated these terms report them. You cannot simply report them because you disagree with their opinion. We are all allowed an opinion. It takes a bigger person to walk away from a disagreement. There is no "right" or "wrong."
Please do not threaten members with "going to report you to Doug." This is simply not what Doug and his staff do. They do not sit and read each and every thread or post. We are adults and should be able to regulate ourselves. On the occasions where immature persons appear, this is what the report abuse button is for.
Any threads about religion, sex, or country will be the cause of great debate. I'm saying this not to tell you not to post about them but to warn you that there are many strong opinions in these areas.
DS is NOT a dating site. Please use caution with others emotions. We are all fragile here.
Do NOT post any personal information ANY where on the internet, especially in here. This is for your safety.
Hugs are not the place for information like email addresses real names or anything personal and private. Hugs can be seen by EVERYONE, even non members.
I have posted this informaion for your safety and enjoyment of Daily Strength. Please remember that DS is only one of the tools you will need to heal. Use it wisely.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
