After all that something about rapists, warnings for women to reduce their risk of being raped, posted here and sent via messages, I thought I'd warn you all about old ladies.
Old ladies are perhaps the least likely group of criminals. They can approach their marks without alarming the victims. Some of these old ladies are pan handlers, pick pockets, and other varieties of scam artists.
Just last night, I walked out of the drug store and stepped into a triangular trap set by two old ladies. There was a man involved, setting off on a curb to my right. I was approached from the left by a woman who appeared to be in her 60s and a woman who looked to be about 70 came from behind my car to block my path to the car. The younger of the two was the talker, the man obviously was the guard.
She apoligized for being "reduced to doing this" and yadda yadda sab sob story, too well rehearsed and/or repeated. Now I may look like a soft marshmellow but I aint dumb... so I'm standing there with my keys in one hand and two bags in another and she tried to pick my pocket!
Yes, I am serious... she moved in like she was going to hug me and went for my jacket pocket. I never carry a purse to any stores... if I did, she may have reached for that instead.
I stepped, gigs up, bump that... when I went to pull out, they were already on to a young woman going to her van, and she was just standing there... thought of warning her, then figured if she's that dumb oh well.
I did call the store and told them that theives were out working the parking lot and included the man as one of them.
Just watch out for old ladies... they aint all nice.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Of course it's a serious matter, especially if they've got young 'uns helping them out.

I guess that's what they play on though so your thread is very interesting indeed. Sorry to hear about your experience though, mars.
High five to you!
