Okay, so heres the deal lol. I cant cook, im just not good at it! I do try and have tried I just dont have the cooking ability. I want to make my boyfriend dinner and surprise him, but I need to make something fast and easy, but I want to try and make it something he doesnt eat much, like not the normal spagetti and things....
Oh yeah, and the only grocery store close enough to get to today is the whole foods co-op, so i was wondering if anyone has any good recipes or ideas on something I could make thats in the whole foods catagory and that could be bought at the health store??? Any ideas would help!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Lettuce, Tomatoes,Cucumbers, Potatoes, Eggs, Meat, Cheese, Macaroni, Zucchini, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Radishes, Walnuts, Craisins or Raisins, Diced Apple, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds... what ever you can think of... and your favorite salad dressing.
Viola... A meal in a salad!
Here's a fairly easy recipe for Shrimp and Quinoa
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup uncooked quinoa
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
6 fresh asparagus spears, trimmed and chopped
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound medium shrimp - peeled and deveined
1 lime, juiced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup chopped Italian flat leaf parsley
DIRECTIONS
In a large pot, bring the water to a boil, and stir in the quinoa. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and set aside 10 minutes, or until all liquid has been absorbed.
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and saute the onion and green bell pepper until tender. Mix in the mushrooms, asparagus, raisins, and ginger, and continue cooking until asparagus is tender. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the shrimp, and cook 5 minutes, or until opaque.
In a large bowl, mix the quinoa with the lime juice and remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil. Toss with the skillet mixture and parsley to serve.
Rosemary chicken and dill potatoes.
2 Chicken breast (can use more)
Rosemary, dill, garlic salt, black pepper
Red potatoes
Veggie
Butter
Put chicken on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with rosemary, garlic salt and pepper. Cook the chicken breast in the oven, at about 350 until they aren't pink anymore in the center.
While the chicken is cooking cut red potatoes into wedges and boil until firm, not mushy. Drain potatoes and add dill and a few pats of butter, mix together.
Cook your veggie. I usually do carrots with garlic salt.
So the trip to the store is cancelled dang it. Put my last diaper on my daughter and she ..... so now im stuck waiting for him to get off work and bring home diapers so i can go lol he still wont have a clue what im doing though.... ME COOK?? Yeah right hes thinking lol
