i have a friend who's been depressed for over 6 months...to the point where she's not able to function well enough to work. whenever i see her, she always talks about a relationship that ended badly--this is what set the depression off. we talk about a lot of other things too but she always brings up her feelings about that relationship. she knows the thoughts are obsessive and she wants them to stop but can't seem to shake it. how healthy is it to let her keep talking about it? am i helping her get worse by letting her keep venting about it?

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
