Just a quick run down of my situation. I am on disability, but still employed by a company (same one for 20 years) they only pay for my medical benefits, no income. I have found a possible job (part-time) which allows me to work from home. I am allowed to make so much money per month while I'm on disability - I am agoraphobic (hence the working from home)- my question is can my company get rid of me for applying for this job? I have offered to work from home for them and they have said no. I can't remove 20 years from my resume, but if the new employer decides to check my references they will know I have been on stress leave for almost 2 years!! Has anyone else been in this position? Any advice? I have not applied for this position yet - but it would be perfect. Just a little nervous about possibly flushing 20 years with one company down the toilet just to make a few extra dollars until I am ready to return to work full time. Thanks for your help.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
