Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

The thing is, you have to help the depression to lift too. The brain is a powerful tool, the way your mindset is, is a lot to do with how long it will last.
If depressing actions and thoughts are consistent, then yes for sure your depression will last longer.
The doctors will no doubt prescribe you a "happy pill" (anti depressant) but this isnt always the answer, there are other ways to help your body combat depression, when your young the problems are never so big they cant be remedied.
Your sitting there thinking that your not worth anyones time, and of course your getting depressed to think nobody out there loves you or cares for you, well your wrong, of course somebody cares for you, you see you placed this thought in your head, and now you firmly believe it. Try thinking thoughts like, I AM a good friend to people, and I DO have a lot of people that love me. Take a family member or friend and ask the question "do you love me ?" "Do you like me as a friend?" Im pretty sure the answer wont be no lol,
I dont know you kids at all on here, I only know you by our correspondence, but you know what ??? I care about you :-) be happy hon )))))x
