Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

hi, i was wondering if any of you suffer from physical symptoms of major depression. many days i feel that everything is a task, and that i have no energy. Somedays i feel exhausted no matter how much i sleep. I was also looking for advice with medication. I was also just looking for others who suffer from the same symptoms as myself

im always exshausted, tired, or completly out of energy. im not taking any medication so i cant help you with that one. when i get really stressed out, i smoke a joint, but if you dont want to do that, its cool. i just think its nice to leave reality for a little while, it calms me.

yes...being exhausted all the time is a sign of depression but there are also other factors to be considered. over fatigue is also a symptom of hypothyroidism

Yes, I often feel like that too. Not sure what kinds of medication you should take though. Ask a doctor about that.

yes, everything is a task. I dread every minute of the day and simply want to lie around doing nothing. Even thinking is a tiresome job to be done. I feel like I want all these to end, as in taking my own life. But considering the support from family and friends, it may not be worthed dying when I can be happy and enjoy life again. I believe so, or what the psychologist told me. Things will get better some day. The most important thing is that you have to take the first step to change tiny little things around. :)

oh, I am on medication too. It has varying effect on different people. to me, I don't really feel the change except that my mood is more stablised. Lexapro and seroquel.

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
