Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

I've been seeing a clinical psychologist. She suggests that I get on medication ASAP because my depression is so severe, but I've been so hesitant that I haven't got on it yet. I'm just afraid of it changing me. I don't want to feel like a different person. I'm afraid of being happy because I've been depressed for as long as I can remember. I guess I just want to know what other people on medication think about it, and se if anyone had any advice...

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
