Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
It sounds to me that you just might be stressed out/loathing your house right now. Feeling "down" and frustrated is normal, especially for someone in your situation, but you might want to consult a doctor about your symptoms. If you don't know what the symptoms of depression the most common ones are as follows:
Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
Loss of appetite and/or weight loss, or conversely overeating and weight gain
Insomnia, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping
Restlessness or irritability
Feelings of worthlessness, inappropriate guilt, helplessness
Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
Difficulty thinking, concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
Thoughts of death or suicide or attempts at suicide
Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex
Decreased energy, fatigue, feeling "slowed down" or sluggish
Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain
So, that's what I think. That you should learn more about depression and just like.. how you feel in general/what's "normal" for you. I don't wanna give you a diagnosis or anything though, because I don't know you and I don't want to tell you something that's not right.
Anyway, good luck figuring it out. Let me know if you wanna talk more :]
