Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

my mom and counselor want to put me back in the hospital for my self injury/depression/suicide. part of me agrees because i am safer there but ive spent too much of my life there and i dont want my mom to have to go through it again. and it never really helped for long. im not sure i want to change how i deal with stress. ive tried everything they have told me and its never worked.

well the best way to help your mom not to go through this over and over is to get better...but you have to be willing to do that. going back to the hospital may be a good idea...but if you do you have to go in there open mind and make 100% effort to get better and do what it takes..recovery only happens when people are willing to accept help, and want help. good luck with whatever you choose, i hope you feel better!
