We havea 12 yr. old daughter that has just been dx. with severe mood disorder, we have been on a roller coaster ride with this child for a long time, we have been dx. with selective mutismn, Odd. ADHD. mild autism, aspergers, and PDD. well now we have our dx. they said it was genetic, that it was nothing we did to cause it, still makes us feel bad, when your child is depressed you wonder how they can be unhappy when they are loved and have a good home, anyway, we have plan, and we will be in therapy and looking into some meds, my question is I was told that she could get a 504 plan for school but sje does have struggles because of this, is someone familiar with this? also what else has a family can we do to help her to be the best she can be?
