Hi my mom was diagnosed with dementia and it is slowly progressing. My brothers are in the process of looking at nursing homes for my mom. I do not live near my mom but on the phone she sounds ok to me with sometimes forgetting things and you can tell she is not always ok. How do I know when the right time to find a nursing home for my mom? She gets Medicaid so do we need to talk with them first to find out what would be covered?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
