I have a hard time getting my grandmother to take her medication. She has 3 pills (synthroid, b-12, and areocept) to take in the morning. We keep them in one of those pill boxes that has a section for each day of the week. I ask her several times during breakfast/coffee to take her pills. I try asking her in different ways--Did you take your pills? Can you take your pills? Where are your pills? And she says OK she will, but she never does. Today she even moved the Thursday pills to the Sunday box (which was empty). I told her I knew she moved it, and she just shrugged and smiled. She doesn't want to be medicated. I don't want to force her. I don't want to patronize her either. Any suggestions?
