Hi I am new to this board and need some help. We are taking care of my husbands father in out house. We wait on him hand and foot. He loves it here. I have read books on dementia which my FIL has. He is on aricept and seoquel. I have him on routines which help. He has badmouthed his whole family when they are not around and everyone is hurt by this. He bad mouths us when he is at his daughters house. We have confronted him about this and he says he knows he says it but dont know why. Once he said the reason why is because he is miserable and he wants everyone else to be miserable. Is this a part of dementia? I am so umpset with about this. He has lost his daughters over this and the only one that can accept this is my husband. I am having a hard time due to the fact that I am the one mostly taking care of his dad. I am so distraught. Please help me determine if this is a part of his disease.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
